Strength of Stony Brook's Math, Physics and CS departments

I've been accepted to Macaulay honors for Baruch and Stony Brook and I'm still waiting for a lot of decisions from schools like Cornell, Brown and Carnegie Mellon. However, Stony is giving me a scholarship so I have been seriously considering it. I heard that it was one of the better public universities for the sciences but I want to know how it compares to schools like Cornell and Brown in terms of the strength of their physics, math and computer science departments.

Thanks in advance!

Stony Brook is supposed to be pretty good for math, especially geometry. I would consider it on par with the other departments you listed.

One of my math professors told me that he transferred from Cornell to Stony Brook when he was in grad school.
