I get sooo nervous before the ACT test!! My score has already gone down two points because of it....and with December being my last chance I really need to calm down! Any medication you guys know of that could help? Anything at all?! Please! I need helppp!

:( anybodddyyy??????????

i'm weeping.............for serious

I wouldn't take medication per se, but I would RELAX. Just think of all the other wonderful things you could have in your applications, besides your ACT score. Besides, if the ACT doesn't work for you, try the SAT and see how it goes. GOOD LUCK!!!

if you have a legit attention disorder, talk to your doctor ASAP. you can also look around on google and stuff for relaxation strategies

^ i agree with aeolia6. take a deep breath and calm down dude

I think the way to approach these tests is to look at them with some degree of "enjoyment." That might not be the right word, but I'm on a vocabulary lapse at the moment. For each of the times I took a standardized test, I just went in pumped. I was ready to rock that test. Rather than fearing it or feeling like it was going to be a terrible waste of time, I tried to look forward to it. I scored well. I don't know if my mentality was the reason for it, but I think it plays a big part.

Think of it this way. You have two options.

One - panic, drive yourself crazy, and don't do as well.

Two- Relax, and do great.

Think of it as two offers. Which one would you rather have? Try doing something to take your mind off it and try realizing that there's no point in panicking.
