Stressed and running out of time!

I am a senior with a low GPA. I had a 3.2 freshman year, but due to a move and a severe bout of depression my sophomore year, my grades plunged. I kind of recouped my junior year and so far senior year is going great (4.0 first semester, looks like it'll be about 3.8 second), but it looks like I'll still end with something around a 2.3-5. My SAT score is a bit above average (1100 without writing)

I'm currently looking at colleges and I'm pretty stressed. Are there Any affordable places I might be able to go? I considered a CC for a year or two, but my parents just DO NOT want to hear that.

[Alfred University](http://www.alfred.edu)

Alfred’s tuition is a little over half of what most private colleges are, and it still has space available for the fall.

It was high on my son’s list.

What do you want to study?

Thanks for your suggestion!
I would like to study film, with a minor in Japanese. Though I realize Asian studies aren’t a usual offering at many universities.

I played around a little bit on the college search, and came up with Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash. I don’t know that they are still taking applications for the fall though.

[College Search - College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_search)

I suggest you play with this search yourself and try entering different criteria.
