Stressed out about admissions. What are my chances?

I have never used a forum before so sorry if did this wrong.

My brother and sister both attended MSU. I'm a senior in highschool next year

I messed up.
- upward trend of grades
- took AP Econ junior year (macro and micro)
- taking AP statistics and AP AB Calc next year
- very good Junior year
- medical club, diversity club, volunteering organization, JV lacrosse,

Taking to AP maths next year even though math was my weakest subject freshman and sophmore year.

This is what kills me (lack of effort in earlier years)

GPA: 2.902
ACT: 24
One or two teacher reccomendations (undecided)

Thanks for the responses. I'm stressed out

Honestly, I’d say your chances are not good. A 2.9 is just too low, and a 24 ACT is really at the low end of what would get you accepted. If you don’t get in, I would suggest going to a community college for a while and save some money. If you apply to transfer with more than 28 college credits, they will no longer ask for your high school GPA and ACT.

Are you a minority? If they still have that summer entry program for minorities you’d be a candidate for that. Should prob make sure this fall semester’s grades are close to a 4.0 to improve your accumulative in January. Prob going to need personal assistance from whomever the admissions rep is in your district.

Thank you, I’m vietnamese

Michigan state won’t read teacher recs, and your chances are pretty low unless you can raise the ACT score by a lot:/
