Hi everybody,

NYU has been my top choice school forever. I've visited it three times already and going to an official open house this coming Sunday. I'm beginning to personalize myself with the admissions person who will be reading my application so I can have a stronger chance of getting in.

Anyway, this last ACT I ended up getting a 28--had I got one more point on the sections, it would have been a 29 (thus in NYU's middle 50% range).

For some vague background, I am a member of a lot of programs and have exemplified multiple positions of leadership throughout my high school career. I have an unweighted GPA of about a 3.66 (above NYU's average 3.62 of the class of 2017). So really, the only thing holding me back is standardized test scores, really.

Anyway, I want to apply to CAS-I'm just worried I'll get rejected! If you want to check out my full stats, check out this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1542078-chance-me-nyu.html

However, I had a few other vague questions. I'm applying ED1 and am going to take the ACT one more time in October (25th?). I was wondering if I was able to update my scores (if they're good) to admissions once I get them back (since I will have already sent my application). Also, how do you feel about my score compared to the colleges standards? Do you think that my slightly higher GPA may make up for the slightly less standardized test scores?

I feel like a well-rounded student with good supplements/essay, so I'm really hoping I get in!

Also, technically my superscored ACT score is a 27.75--do colleges see this decimal numerically, or does everything bump up? Would a 28.5 bump to a 29? I've been wondering!

Thanks!
