stressed

My history class is so stressful. It's US History(we have Us hist as a 3 semester course with 1 semester honors and the other 2 AP). Last week he gave us an article to read and he never quizzes us on handouts but he randomly did. It had such ridiculous questions, like how old the author of a book was when he first published it, what year he published and what year he was born. nothing about the themes of the article. Then he told us two nights ago to start reading chapter 4. i assumed since he hadnt said specifically how much to read, he wouldnt give a quiz..but he did and i got a 50. i studied a ton last night and got a 100 on todays quiz(which are fillins and multiple choice). Then he announces to the class that the class average on the chapter 3 test was 54 and the highest grade was a 90(the other class' highest grade was 76). I thought I had done well. And my first two tests were a 75 and 82 (both scaled 5 points) so I needed a good grade. I really wanted to get an A- this quarter, I had a B+ as of last week.

Sorry I wrote so much. Im just so annoyed. On his multiple choice has multiple correct answers and theres no way of knowing which is correct. He says it's how you interpret them. In fact, I just looked at the chapter 2 test from last year:same questions, but some of the answers were different last year! Has anyone ever had a class like this where it's so obscenely hard for even the smartest kids(salutatorian got a 68 on last test).

Blah.

Wait, 3 semesters???? Do you mean trimesters or do you actually take the class for a year and a half? Or maybe I'm brain dead.

a year and a half. sophomore year is "Honors History" which first semester is world history and second semester is US History. We only get honors credit for it. Then junior year we have the same teacher and the same US textbook for APUSH, its basically the same class soph us history but we get ap cred for our gpa. i guess our school just thought APUSH couldnt be covered in one year. Anyway..are a lot of classes like this with grades...i mean a F class average is bad. Most of his students get 4's and 5's on the ap exam, but this is rough.

great to know...

um you definitely opened my thread and willingly read it. if you're time is so valuable then make unnecessary, sardonic quotes on my thread.

The AP test is typically very similar it will have two correct answers, but you'll need to determine which is more right in the context of the question. This of course requires great analysis skills, which is why he probably asked birth date questions was to enforce that you need to analyze, unless those dates were not in the article, then your teacher is just a nut bag. lol!

who gives a ****

My APUSH teacher openly admits that he wouldn't even do well on the AP Exam because 2 answers are so close...and also---you have a B+, he obviously inflates grades a little for the class if you failed stuff and got C/D on tests etc...why complain....B+ isn't gonna kill you...I thought this would be like a I have a D complaint....come on

I'll hound you again also by saying Green Day sucks and you cannot tell me this is old because you can always make a new account...thanks

First of all, if you dont give a crap(by the way ilovebusiness you must know it gets edited out when you swear, how cool of you) then simply dont post on the thread. kind of seems like common sense to me.

Also, my teacher doesnt inflate grades very much, he scaled our 2 tests by 5 points. and i only got a d and an f on quizzes, which we have dozens of so that's why it didnt matter much, because i had mostly a's beside that. anyway, im fully confident i'll end up doing good on the ap test because ultimately he is a really good teacher even if his class is difficult, im not upset anymore because the quarter has been over for like 3 weeks now and im over it.

also, i did make another user name (sinsnottragedies) but i have built up so many posts on this username and more users know me on this one so i just use greendayfan. bash green day as much as you'd like, i dont particularly like "logisticlord" either...thanks:D

Oh why not...is originality not really your forte? That's understandable Mr. 9-5 Office Job Man (not that's there's anything wrong with that)...Thanks!

Something can be original and unappealing at the same time..do you not agree?

I do not agree sir, but it is for free sir.

what does the pronoun "it" represent in that sentence?

It represents that which I am professing and the subject of the sentence is indeed it which is the IT factor.

ha, i must admit you are funny, if slightly aggravating at times.
