strictness on rescinding admission

do you need to fail a class.. i might end up with a 76 or something along those lines in one of my classes.. will that have any effect?

Same question. I might end up with 2-3 C’s.

Hopefully a couple of absences and huge amounts of tardies won’t matter

absences shouldn’t matter…I had 10 during my 2nd semester of high school alone :-)

If you enrolled, you will be fine. Don’t slack off though, stay in school ;)

What if I end up with two Ds in AP Spanish and AP Physics?

madeinchina- that’s a bit extreme…I think you need to at least pass your classes

why don’t you just not get Ds?

2-3 Cs will probably be fine…so will 2 Ds (Fs are failing, not Ds, right? that’s how it worked at my high school)..but if you guys are getting such bad grades in your high school AP classes, you might have trouble at Cornell. I don’t care how much weed you’re smoking, it’s not hard to avoid getting multiple Cs and/or Ds in high school. It’s different if one class is giving you trouble, obviously.

I agree with Spanks. If you’re having this much difficulty in high school, you better really do some soul searching before enrolling at Cornell.

getting Ds might end up getting u rescinded if there are multiple Ds. Cs are fine. but, below C- range, u should be careful about

I thought D’s were considered failing? At least they are at my school- you don’t get credits for them and getting a D in a required class senior year means you don’t graduate on time (cause you’d have to retake the class in the summer)

Good point Spanks

i have OK grades… but would they rescinding my admission if i get a 1 on AP Chem tomorrow?..

I have that exam in the afternoon, but before that I have IB Physics in the morning. I think IB is more important because I want my diploma… so Im just studying physics now… so…

would they care? how about I cancel my score after it?

Why don’t you just try on the exam and see how you do? Three hours of thinking isn’t going to kill you.

Gotta love the Cornell students whining and worrying before they get to Cornell.

Suck it up and stop whining.

thats what im going to do. if cornell doesnt care then i wont cancel my score. But if they care i dont wanna risk it. It’s not like im going to go in there and randomly guess on the questions.

So, im basically trying to figure out whether Cornell is going to care about a 1 or not.

haha seriously. you guys better get it together before you get to college.

zixif: AP scores have no bearing on your admission status. Why would you think that they did? All they are used for is getting credit, which can save you a ton of money.

Cornell will not rescind your admission based on the score of an AP exam.

CayugaRed is right…stop whining. I know you’re concerned…but stop worrying. Just concentrate on finishing strong and graduating.

Nope. They already accepted you.

And I think you get a 1 if you sign your name, so shoot for a 3 or a 4.

ya i guess i should do that~ i got a 730 on SAT chem so there has to be something… last exam then graduation thursday^^

thanks people.
