String Essay

Hi everyone!
I've chosen to apply Early Action and write about string for essay topic 4. I'm not quite done with my essay, but I was hoping for some opinions on it.

It really shows off my writing but I'm afraid that it doesn't tell much about me. I'm hoping that the ad com will understand me from my short answers. Do you think I should sacrifice quality for substance? I'm also wondering how others have interpreted the question. I'm going along with the Greek/Norse thread of life idea and discussing some of my memories that involve string. I guess the "biggest or smallest phenomenon" I'm explaining is how memories change us and our lives.

send it to me, i'll read it! (just for fun because i'm a big nerd and i think it sounds cool...)

my u of c essay doesn't tell much about me either -- i'm relying on the short answers and recs. i've heard that for chicago essays, weirder is better, so i wouldn't worry if i were you. honestly, what can you write about a giant jar of mustard that really gives an admissions officer insight into your life? it's sooo random.

I'd be happy to read it as well. I wouldn't be too worried about it though as the philosophy of what you are writing will most likely show a great deal about you.

hey ill read it just pm it to me. I'm applying to chicago to rd and im putting it off b/c of the essay questions.

hey ill read it just pm it to me.

Hey, I'll read it. Keep in mind that I'm applying RD.

I'll read it; I love Chicago essays...even if they didn't pick my essay topic. :)

Oh, and I applied last year, so I won't steal it. :)

you have one day left!
