strong fine arts and literature programs?

<p>i've seen a lot of people mentioning how great the econ, math, and science programs are...but are the humanities as phenomenal? any insight from current students or alumni would be great. thanks.</p>

<p>Yes, the humanities are excellent. I have personla experience with the Classics department, having taken and audited Beginning and Intermediate Greek, respectively. The U. of C. is not weak in any (legitimate) department, and I know some core classes are taught by some of the most highly respected faculty members the University has to offer. You should take a look on the U. of C. website and look up professors' credentials to see more.</p>
