what schools are strong in Econ major.
I go to cc, and will transfer with 3.3 gpa.
what choices do i have. I'm also interested in LAC's.
then, i will go for law school. what could be the best choices?

Econ is a pretty bread-and-butter major, and any tier 1 or tier 2 school will have a solid department... too many to list, in fact.

Give us more info... what are your preferences?
Region of country?
Urban/suburban/rural?
Large university? Medium/small university? Small liberal arts college?

I am attending CC in IL and considering to go to law school afterwards. Hoping to get into top 10 law school. I know it's hard!
However, I am willing to move anywhere or to stay in midwest.
I am pretty sure that I will get into some publics like UIUC or wisconsin-madison. but I want some solid reputation that will help me later when I apply to law schools. that is why i am interested in LAC's too, some top schools have good pre-law programs and advisory faculties for students.

anyone?.........

Top schools in Econ/Pre-law are usually similar to just top schools overall: a pretty good list would be the Ivy League, Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, Williams, Swarthmore, Amherst...just the usual ones mentioned

Other good LAC schools or easier schools with good business programs include PSU, Lehigh, Lafayette...tons of others too

any school you pick would be fine, as long as it is a college that is known nationally

Is lehigh easier to get into? how easy? Like it metioned above, I am getting 3.3 at cc. Do you think I have a chance? I mean, Lehigh is 32th in US news ranking...

Why are you so sure you'll get into UIUC or madison with a 3.3 uw GPA at a CC? Maybe I know nothing about transfer admissions, but that doesn't seem to make you a match for the top publics.

First, I attend cc in IL which gives me an opportunity to get into UIUC with agreement.
Also, wisconsin is a top school but everyone says 3.3 is just about the average who get into there. Am I wrong?

Northwestern University!

KK, I'd say that Chicago, Northwestern and Michigan are pretty much out of reach for the OP. UIUC is probably is good match and Wisconsin is probably a good reach.

This isn't a flame, but information because you have time to fix in while in college.

Your english is not good enough for law school, let alone a top-10 school. Your sentences are missing conjuctions, prepositions, your usage of verbs tends to be incorrect, etc. In law school they grade the work you produce, and the sentences you've given so far are simply not up to par. Your essays will keep you out if written this way.

I suggest that if you're serious about law school you improve your ability to use the english language, assuming you're planning on practicing in this country.

i appreciate your concern and advice. but who cares about grammar here? Do you expect everyone to write formal essay here talking about their situation? Main purpose of this site is to obtain any information you might have about college, not English grammar!!!
anyways, I might or might not practice here... but I AM working on my English because it is used internationally.
However, if I were you, I would stay on the topic of this forum and give someone an advice for extra instead of pointing out someone's mistake directly...
I hope this doesn't offend you, because I am probably writing his with same heart that you had when you were writing yours!!! "."
