Strong liberal arts and drama on the west coast

I'm going to be a senior this year, and I'm really diving into the college search now. I'm looking for a school that has strong academics but also a really strong theatre program (hoping to major in drama/maybe double major in English but want to explore). I'm probably looking for a B.A. as opposed to a B.F.A., so a school that favors liberal arts is best. I'm a 4.0 student, with a 2240 on the SATs, 34 on ACTs, and 5 APs by the end of next year. Plus lots o' extracurriculars! Band, news staff, drama, etc... Also, lots of scholarship opportunities is important to me. Would prefer to stay on west coast if possible.

So far I'm looking at these, could anyone tell me anything about these schools? Or any other schools that have what I'm looking for.

Northwestern--my top but it's expensive/competitive

Chapman--also have BFA..bleh

Santa Clara--strong in drama or not?

University of Washington--merit opportunities for out-of-staters?

University of Oregon--strong in drama?

University of Portland--academics?

Loyola Marymount University--?

Pamona College--strong in drama?

Wheaton College (MA)

Boston College

American University

Yale

I cannot tell you firsthand how strong the drama program is at pomona because I haven’t taken a drama class yet, but from my knowledge of the program the staff is fantastic and everyone really enjoys going to their classes and performing in productions. I also know of a very happy theater major who loves the program at Pomona.

Oh really? That’s good to hear. I’m wondering if they have a lot of internship opportunities and stuff, because that’s important to me. Like at Loyola/Northwester etc. they have a showcase at the end of senior year for industry professionals, which would be cool. Any more info about the program would be sweet.

How do you like Pamona in general?
