Strong SAT and EC, but weak gpa..... no chance for Ivy leagues?

Ok first of, I am a student in Japan trying to get into ivy league. I have low gpa for grade 9 and 10(I was going to IB school). However, I moved to an AP school starting junior year. The following is my stat
IB:
Freshman: 3.27
Sophomore: 3.38(The reason I got this gpa is because the school failed to properly inform us regarding grade system)
AP:
Junior(three ap): 3.81 uw and 4.15 w (I had hard time adapting to this new system)
Senior(Im thinking to take around 5~6 ap): aiming 4.0 and 4.75 max gpa

SAT: (780, 800, 730) 2310
SAT 2(I took 9 different SAT 2) On average I achieved 760
ACT: 33

Since I go to international school in Japan, I was only able to take online courses
- These are the online courses that I took
Kinesiology
Physics (excelled at it)
Biology
Chemistry
Sports Science
Engineering Science
Geophysics
Quantum Physics ect.....

College Course
- Kyushu University economics class

Language
- Fluent at Japanese, Korean, English and Chinese
- Know french, spanish and german

One thing that Im really proud of is the economics that I learned from my father. I learned if for 4 years and I developed it to the point where I pioneered a new pattern in our worlds economy. I literally discovered a new pattern.

I literally worked my butt off to make up for my low gpa. I know that gpa is literally killing my resume, but the only thing I could do was to do well on sat and EC. Do I have chance?

All Ivy’s are a reach, even with perfect GPA, test scores and impressive EC’s. Go ahead and apply but you will need some Match and Safety schools on your list that you are willing to attend. Do not focus all your efforts on the reach schools or you will end up with no where to go.

Of course I have safety’s like purdue, george washington, william and mary ect. I just wanted to know whether my academic was in their acceptance zone.

Most selective colleges – not just the ivies – put MORE emphasis on your GPA and course rigor than your test scores because your transcript is a 3-year window into your scholastic potential, while an ACT/SAT test is a 1-day window into that same potential.

Colleges will look at your GPA and SAT and assume you had lots of test prep (regardless of whether you did or not) to score that high on the SAT with your GPA and assume (rightly or wrongly) that if admitted to their school your college grades would be more in sync with your high school GPA than your SAT score.

As @Gumbymom suggested, by all means apply, but you should be aware of caveats to students on ivy league admissions sites, like this one

thank you for the adivce !

However, i know that for ivy leagues it is a reach school for everyone. But I want to know whether I even have chance

Also there is like 103 view and only 2 people replied… ouch is that my gpa is freaking low that nobody think i stand a chance?

Depends if you need financial aid.

You never mentioned the upward trend in your grades! Especially with those high test scores, you have excellent chances at many schools (not the Ivy league schools tho)! BUT this depends on whether or not you need financial aid because you didn’t mention you are international either.
