Strongest Class

out of the class of 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008, which one is the strongest academically at your school? what are some common characteristics of the other classes. I'm asking this because i know trends and i want to see if they are true.

Class of 2006 is definately the strongest at my school, this year's class was academically talented, but nothing compared with next year's. I am continually impressed by their work ethic and their ability to come together to solve problems. It's just an amazing class. I'm class of '05, by the way.

it's always the junior class... then they slack off as seniors

i would agree. class of 06.

At my school it's the class of '05. We have been one of the most talented classes to come through my school in a couple years. Even though the vast majority of us are slackers and rather apathetic we have the best AP exam results, standardized test scores, scholarship money(in excess of 1 million dollars), and our class has done more to promote our school than any other. This is according to our principal. The sophomores have some potential but the juniors and freshmen just are not doing as well.

Haha, just the opposite for us. The class of '05 are (according to a senior) "the worst academically in the whole history of [our schoo]." When you look at the averages of the four grades, there's a big drop for the senior's this year. XDD The strongest class would probably be class of '06... after all, they do have to study like crazy.

class of 2005 here BY FAR, which i am a part of.

Class of 2008 was one of the best acc. chem classes to hit U of I in a long time. The lab reports were longer and better researched, the unknown grades were higher, the classes averages were higher. It was easily the most competitive acc. chem class out of the 4. As for the rest of the college I don't know. Of course that's at college.

I know I'm not in high school anymore but when in high school the strongest class, intellectually was my class of 04 b/c were had the highest test scores and were in general smarter but much of the class lacked the drive needed to keep it competitive (in the race for saludatorian one of the two just got a lower grade to give his position to the other one b/c he had already been accepted to the college he wanted to go to). Valdictorian was basically decided freshman year when one girl was the only one determined enough to actually do everything well. But the 05 group had way more overacheivers and was very competitive til the very end. I just thought that was very interesting.

Also another quick poll within a poll, whose high school freshman class gets sluttier each year? That is a big thing at my school, but I want to know if it is the trend at others.

Class of '07, by a long shot. Class of '06 valedictorian took no AP sophmore year, and only three this year. In class of '07, we have maybe ten kids bending the school's official policy (only APUSH for sophs) to take 2 or 3 AP courses this year. Junior year will be some sort of weighted grade feeding frenzy--our school only weights AP grades, and it seems like everyone is trying to take as many as they can (5 or 6) just for the grade. A lot of the juniors have no clue about any college-admissions stuff, but we sophomores are just overflowing with useless, completely useless, college stats and figures and strategies. I'm really beginning to think that it's not healthy.

'05 at my school.

06 at my school.

'05 most definitely for us.

2006 has the hardest workers
2007 has the most genuinely intelligent students

screw that... i've never done **** in my life!!!! 07 are the morons... no offense, but u guys study like hell

my class, '05, has been dubbed the slacker class. We have the highest SAT average and the lowest GPA average

definitely the class of '05. not only do they have a huge number of people graduating with highest honors and multiple people tied as valedictorian, they've won every competition between the classes since they were freshmen. i can't wait until they graduate.
