I have been doing some research on Penn. I was wondering…what are Penn’s strongest undergraduate majors? I know Wharton is the top ranked UG business program. I have looked at graduate rankings just to get an idea, but obviously they aren’t terribly useful. Thanks.

I have checked the website, so please don’t blast me for asking this question. I am just looking for supplemental information and obviously the website is not going to say a certain major is weak.

Wharton is basically the only non-sucky school at Penn, but i guess its fairly decent at math and med stuff too (but not really).

Since you mentioned "med stuff" which isn't a major at any school, it's obvious that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about...

It is difficult to arrive at a ranking for undergraduate majors, especially "liberal arts" ones because it mainly depends on how well the department treats its students in focus on teaching, how friendly the professors are, etc. These things are not easily found anywhere. Graduate rankings are not good indicators because 1) most students do not go on to academic graduate schools (in general, including at Penn) and 2) graduate placement depends more on the overall school than the specific department.

Once place to look at is which professors of what deparments have received awards for teaching. I don't have the link but you can probably find it somewhere.

You can also look at the career report surveys to see which majors are best at getting into jobs or grad programs.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with The Gourman Report, but it's a ranking of undergraduate majors on a scale of 2(worst) to 5 (best). Here are the ones where Penn ranked top-notch (cut off at 4.7 or better).

This obviously isn't a perfect method, but it'll give you an idea of where our strengths lie.
