As I learn more and more about bioengineering, it really interests (although structural still does). I was talking to a friend of mine today and he also gave me great insight as to the future of the engineering field and I want to know if it's possible that I can switch from structural engineering major to bioengineering? Aren't there weed out classes so that if there is room I can apply or what if I do really good my freshman year? I'm debating between CP Slo and UCSD engineering but if there is any chance that I might be able to get into SD's bioengineering, then I think that might be the deciding factor. Thanks!

the way i understand it is that you can’t transfer into it as easily as if you wanted to transfer into ECE or SE, 10 spots open up every year for current UCSD students, so maintain a high GPA and talk to your AA;

Alright thank you, so I’m wondering…if I’m in SE atm which year is really the year to commit? Like the point of no return, because I really need to figure out what I want to do.
