Structural Engineering, UCLA or UCSD?

<p>I am an international senior in structural engineering and have been accepted by UCLA and UCSD for graduate studies. I know that UCSD's Structural program ranks higher than UCLA, but it seems that UCLA is much more famous overall and it's in LA! I really don't know which one to choose.</p>

<p>Please give me some advice, especially if you are in this major and have been there. Thanks!</p>

<p>I do hope that after graduation of MS, I can easily find a job.</p>

<p>UCSD has a great earthquake lab, with a gigantic shake table that can be used to test earthquake stress. They are more specialized for Structural Engineering, while UCLA is more of an all-around Civil Engineering department.</p>

<p>Either school will help you get a great job if you have a high grade point average.</p>
