Structural Engineering

Okie doo, here's another of my dumb questions.

Would it be advisable or even practical to get a BS in Structural Engineering? I have only heard of getting a BS in Civil Eng. with emphasis in Structures. However, University of California San Diego* has a program that gives a degree specifically in Structural Engineering and I daresay I like how it sounds.

The Undergrad page is <a href="http://www.structures.ucsd.edu/?page=academics/undergrads/index%5B/url%5D">http://www.structures.ucsd.edu/?page=academics/undergrads/index</a></p>

= (As a CA resident, the UC system has been hammered into my favor since my parents began whispering suggestions to me in the womb.)

Thanks for your responses! :D

If you like it, then go for it! But I'd advise you to ask professors there what kind of jobs their students get and look at the classes and see if it interests you.
