Structure of my essay same as another?

I really liked the structure/style of one of the essays I read in '100 Successful College Application Essays', so I just wrote a draft and used the structure, however, the content is entirely and wholly mine and personal to me and completely different; I only used the kind of structure/style that was in the book. I really like the way my essay turned out though, and it's my favorite one I've written, but I'm worried about colleges noticing that. Should I just abandon the idea? I'm just so torn because I really truly love this essay so much.

I would appreciate if someone could take a look at it and also the other essay that I was inspired by and give me some advice. Thank you.

After some googling, I am going to change the essay. I would still like to make it work, somehow, so any advice from anybody would still be very much appreciated, if you would like to read it and offer some advice, please let me know, thank you.

Adcoms read thousands of essays…every year. They recognize similarities in topic, structure, descriptions and level of emotion. You don’t want their reaction to be “yeah, yeah, yeah; seen this sort a million times.” That’s your challenge. Toss the book, set the current essay far away. Rewrite it, fresh. Humor is good. Being profound at 18 is tricky.
