Struggling a lot in APUSH?

I’m honestly not used to struggling this much with academics, but APUSH is so hard for me and I don’t know why. On the last test, I got an 82% while others got 95%'s. Normally, I’m at the top of the scores, but this class is incredibly difficult for me.

For perspective, I’m a sophomore in HS and got a 96% in AP Bio, 100% in AP Chem, with this year being the first time I’ve ever gotten lower than an A+ in any course (including history last year). Does anyone know why I struggle in this class so much? Thank you in advance.

I feel your pain. APUSH is a bit tough on me as well. There is a lot of information. I primarily struggle with synthesis in essays

I think you’re approaching the problems wrong? Many of the test questions are more reading comprehension and applied understanding than memorization. APUSH Adam Norris Youtube videos are great for tests though.
