struggling - how are GPA's recalculated?

does anyone know how GPA's are recalculated for schools that are higher up? (uofm, upenn, princeton, etc) do they re-calculate using only the 5 "core classes" (english, science, math, social studies/history, and foreign language) ? also, do they disregard +'s and -'s (A-, A and A+ are all 4.0, B-, B, B+ all 3.0 etc.)

Each one does it in their own way and it’s not something you should really worry about. They are going to do what they are going to do and there’s nothing you can do about it. Worry about the things you can control, like your essays, not the things you can’t.

@MrMom62 it’s just that I have A’s and A-'s in all my core classes but a few scattered B’S in my non-academics. LOL thank you though!
