Struggling in AP Physics because of absences

I was just wondering how I can catch up in the class/ what resources I should use. Due to being sick and a family death, I have missed roughly 6 days in the first quarter. Unfortunately, I missed the lecture on vectors and a few other points.

We have daily homework and I struggle to get it due to the fact that I cannot comprehend it. I use the internet and my textbook but sometimes I just cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

I’ve caught up, for the most part, in the classwork and homework.

Should I go to the teacher and have him reteach the lecture? Possibly even have him show me how to do the homework now that I am already partially behind?

Furthermore, are there any good resources for studying physics besides studying the textbook?

Wait, a second…“have him reteach the lecture”??

Nope.

How about: “Get the notes I missed. Work to understand them. Try the homeworks I’ve missed. Then go to extra help with the questions I haven’t been able to figure out” and ASK for his help"?

And, yes, I imagine there are lots of youtube videos (also teachertube videos) on just about every topic.

  1. Talk to your teacher about the info you have missed. Make sure you know what chapters/topics/concepts you need to cover.
  2. Get a tutor. Your NHS should have some.
3)Go to your teacher’s extra help hours…every one of them.
  3. Watch videos on Khan Academy.
  4. Do extra problems to get more practice
  5. Talk to your guidance counselor about what support you can get.
