Struggling in "One" class

There has always been one class I’ve been quite bad at, and my grades have never been good in that subject. Would colleges rather select a student with one D, or a kid with two C’s?

Honestly, niether.

yes, let's say this is at a more unselective college, but still very solid maybe ranked #50-100 in usnews, I would say 2 C's. D's are a red flag.

Why would you get either two C's or one D? Is it a two semester class?

Ok, less change this, 5 A's, 1 B, and a D. I've always been bad at one subject, through out the years. Would that effect me a great deal, when applying to a school rated 50-100 that's a state school with a huge student body of 25,000+ students?

To a school like UC Riverside, it really doesnt matter, but to any other large state school, you're going to have a lot of trouble. Even a low end UC like UCSD would be hard-pressed to accept you.

UCSD, low end? It's right after Berkeley and LA...

What about Ohio State?

what if you have 1 C but you have a reason like you were in an interstate move which affected your grade in that class 9th grade

1 C shouldn't affect that much....I think colleges look more at the trend...they understand that stuff happens
