Struggling Senior Year Affect Acceptance?

So, I applied in November and got in. I’m current struggling with my AP Calc class and was wondering how that would affect my acceptance? (Struggling as in it will be an F on the First semester) I came into the year with a 3.7 and pretty much have Bs in all the rest of my classes. My school sends out an updated transcript for First Semester and then final grades at the end of the year (Despite whether or not the school asks for them). The grade will likely be a C by the end of the year, but I’m just worried that the F will cause them to throw out my acceptance. Am I just overreacting or am I really in trouble? Thanks.

i think you will be fine.

there was a post just like this yesterday or the day before.

Was there? I looked before posting and couldn’t find one. There was one about the scholarship but I know I can’t lose it since it’s 9th-11th

yeah, it was on the second or third page, though. no worries.

he was worried about his acceptance being revoked.

just get busy and work on your grades this semester, kid! : )

Ah, I see, thanks!

Working on it, really lost my motivation when I got accepted, the fear of a revoked acceptance was the spark that reignited it.

This situation is different than the other one. The other one didn’t involve an F (or even a D).

You do need to get that grade up. I’m not saying that you’d be rescinded, but if Bama requires 4 years of math (does it?), then if you were to fail that class, that could be a problem.

We can give you our best opinions, but to be frank, this is a serious question that deserves an official answer. I would recommend you call the University. They are not looking for ways to punish you, rather would do everything possible to help you.

Here’s a link that might be helpful, but I would also contact UA Admissions. And I agree, this may cause a problem with graduation. You might want to visit your guidance office today.

[General Undergraduate Admission Requirements < The University of Alabama](http://courseleaf.ua.edu/introduction/admissions/undergraduateadmission/#freshmanadmissiontext)

Agree with TX that you should call UA and get an official answer to everything.
And, per mom2’s comments, some HS/states require 4 years of math to graduate, and an F on a transcript would have to be made up somehow, so you really might have two problems: so suggest you also check with your HS GC about this.
Also, I haven’t looked at your previous posts, so I don’t know what major you are declaring at UA. If it is something that requires Calculus, you will need to take your low grade seriously and adjust it accordingly, in order to do well with your future studies.
Good luck with this.
