Stuck at 650M!!!

Hey,
I took the test twice, once in 10/07 and once 5/08, while my other scores went up, my math score stayed at 650. I need to break 700, whats the best way to improve my math score???..Thanks..

Practice. Learn some math concepts. USE them. As you use them, they will stay in your head. Practice working without a calculator (YES, you can use a calculator, but a lot of the time it is much faster to use mental math instead of typing all those keys into the calculator)

You might try some SAT prep books, but don’t get yourself too obsessed with SAT prep because that gets counterproductive.

I assume you are taking it again next opportunity? What year are you in?

hey, i’m a junior and will take them 1st thing in the fall again. I studied 10+ hrs w. a variety of books, and my score didn’t move at all for Math. Ironically, I didn’t study for crititical reading but it went up over 90pts…

see it, know it, do it, check it.

see the problem
know what it’s asking
do the problem,
check it.

If you’re not doing so, you should always plug the multiple choice answers in first and go from there. Solving it without using the multiple choice answers waste your time.
