Hi, I am an upcoming sophomore at a good business school and i am debating between a bunch of majors. I am stressed out because I have no idea what I want to do. First, I really like CIS. I took an introductory class and loved it. I liked analyzing businesses and using technology as a solution to a business problem. I am taking a secondary course to see if i really like it this fall. Another is Marketing. I took a marketing class in high school and loved it. I really like analyzing consumers behaviors and analyzing campaigns and what products should be televised and what shouldn't. Then, I really like Management. However, I heard it is a pointless major, as you dont need a degree to start a business or manage, only through experience can you obtain that type of knowledge. I really like Advertising too, but its extremely competitive and not that hard to learn and the salary isn't great either. I really like working in teams and telling people what they should and shouldn't do. A lifelong dream is to sometime own my own bar and grill but thats beside the point. My parents would like me to do a Masters and I am willing to do it, but I am lost in what major. Maybe I should do a master in Business in general?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated about each major or any major.

Is there a particular degree that your school is known for? Most would be Finance or Accounting. Advertising and Marketing are pretty similar. Management can be seen as a little too general for someone at a business school.

Other than own your own business, what would you like to do out of college?
