Stuck in a tough situation

Sorry, I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this within!
I am a senior graduating in 2 days, in my AP art class I sat at a 99 for 6 months. Yesterday my teacher finally decided to put grades in for my portfolio and my grade tanked to a 72. I spoke with her this morning, asking her what happened and what i can do to get my grade back. However, with graduation in 2 days and her telling me to bring in or make 3 or 4 more pieces. I could make the 4 pieces today, take pictures and email them to her.

What I am having a hard time with is that at our school Senior grades have to go in earlier then underclassmen. My teacher told me shes not sure if she can change my grade anymore. Out of my whole high school career and busting my butt to maintain my 3.8 GPA, its about to tank because of the incompetence of this women. I don't understand why she is telling me to bring in more work when we should have had this conversation last month, smh.

I talked to my sister about my situation and she thinks my teacher is trying to get back at me for not taking the AP test for this class, but I doubt it. Out of the 4 of us in AP Studio art, no one took the AP test. I spoke with one of my friends in my class, and she says she got zeros for work she turned in.

I'm willing to talk to my school's principal and get my parents involved, but to me it looks bleak right now. Even if its just a 90, I want my A back. Tomorrow Seniors have graduation practice so its my last day to speak with my teacher..not sure what to do.

If this won’t change anything in your future–college plans, scholarship, etc. it is safe to forget about it. Once you’re in college, no one will ask for your high school grades again.
Plus, getting a C in an art class isn’t going to be that significant.

Can you make the extra pieces today? Do you have something more important to do?
Do you want to scramble and make them to raise the grade? If not, shrug it off and enjoy your graduation.

I agree with atomom. It’s not worth worrying about at this moment. Move on.

Turn in 4 pieces.
Be glad high school drama is over.
You may be surprised…or disappointed.
It’s all meh at this point.
Closure for you, the matter is out of your hands.
Enjoy college.

I understand MissShoko’s frustration, though, and I don’t think the art teacher is being terribly professional or fair here.

OP, I also advise you try to ‘move on’ no matter what grade you receive; but a quick email to the instructor, cc’d also to your school principal and counselor wouldn’t be a bad idea. Just so the instructor knows how you feel, and the others know of the predicament that instructor put you in.
