Stuck on which math courses to take

Hello,

I’m planning on taking calc III (vector calc and multivar) as well as differential equations together next semester. I’m also planning on taking two calc-based physics courses: (1) E&M (2) heat, optics, and modern physics. I’m currently in calc II (integral calc) and physics I (mechanics) and I’m doing well so far (half the semester is over). Is this feasible or am I really overdoing it? I’m overloading on courses because I’m in a community college and want to transfer as quickly as I can.

If the math seems like an overload, would it be better to take a linear algebra course instead of the differential equations course. Lin alg is 3 units while differential equations is 5 units.

Thank you!

Overload? Only you can answer this. What is important though isn’t just to get through these classes, but to deeply understand the material. It’s foundational for much of what you’ll be learning going forward. Quality is FAR more important than speed. The last thing you want to do is to transfer and find out you’re not prepared.
