Any advice for those that took him? His reviews on bruinwalk are horrible... I'm planning on attending Mason's lectures to see if it helps at all. Because I'm premed I can't afford to do bad in this class so I'm debating whether or not I should just push 20B back to next quarter.. Man this sucks fml

bump bump bump bump

BUMP please

You got him, deal with it. I got him too, just work hard and you’ll be fine.

His accent is terrible so don’t go to class. Just learn from the textbook or better yet use the textbook you used in AP Chem since 20B is AP Chem all over again minus electrochemistry and nothing more.

Accents don’t mean you can’t learn from going to class… there’s value in that.

But I have no sympathy because you don’t have Baugh

Trust me, I went to class and learned ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I learned what I needed to know by looking at his past exams for 20A. Ended up with a B+. But the concepts in 20B aren’t really new if you took AP Chem. It’s only hard if you take it with Felker, like I did (ended up with another B+). Maybe Neuhauser should be added to that list in the near future ;)

So those are my credentials…

is the curve generous at least?

If everyone is lost like it was in 20A, then the curve will be generous.

get one of the books called something like “Chemistry Problem Solver”, probably the best $20 you’ll ever spend in college. turn to the chapter matching what the class is covering at the time, cover the answers, start working them. Its almost like having a tutor at your elbow, and if you put in the work you can learn it!
