Student Academic Index?

I read something about this (it's out of 9 i think)

What is this?

http://www.collegeconfidential.com/academic_index.htm

http://www.collegeconfidential.com/academic_index3.htm

It's just a calculator that IVY's use that's a percentage of their admissions. It pretty much gathers up all your statistics into one number. I'm guessing Ivy's are looking at 6 or higher most of the time. Keep in mind that EC's are also a large part of the admissions process.

Ivies' AI are different.. I think Harvard is 1-6, but I'm not sure. Dartmouth's 1-9. Anyways, they're all pretty much the same. For details, check out Michelle Hernandez's A is for Admission book..

The only thing that skews the results with the calculator is that it does NOT take into effect the relative difficulty at your school. The calculator on this site doesn't fairly gauge a student at say, Andover or Exeter.
