<p>Emory is a pretty liberal school… It is very environmentally conscious which explains their LEED certified buildings… one of the greenest campus (in terms of buildings) in the nation apparently. Also, I met a few people on the “Emory University Class of 2014” group and most seem socially progressive so you will not stand out.</p>

<p>Funny - I was thinking just the opposite. Why seek a college experience that just continues the social milieu that you currently know? You’re not looking for a college that teaches all the same courses that you’ve already taken in high school. Wouldn’t it make sense to use college as a time to expand the range of your comfort zone so that you can fit comfortably in a wider range of settings and cultures?</p>
