On my Student Center's "Account Summary," it says that I owe _____ under "Future Due", which happens to be more than Cornell says I would be paying per year.

Does "Future Due" include all 4 years at Cornell?

My son is out of town and hasn’t logged into his yet, but my guess it that it’s for just 1 year, but they may not have applied grants and/or loans yet.

That’s just the sticker price for the semester. Financial aid is not applied until later…usually around a week before the semester starts. If you have already received your finaid package, subtract that amount from the amount listed and that is what you would have to pay for the semester. Make sure the subtracted amount matches what you are supposed to pay. If you have any concerns, contact the finaid department. They are really nice.

Mathmom is correct, the “future due” is how much tuition for Fall 2011 will cost. Whatever outside financial aid you expect to receive is also visible, but it has not been subtracted from “future due” yet. Cornell has not, however, put their own financial aid for returning students on Student Center yet. I talked to someone at the Financial Aid Office and that info should be coming out this week.

Good to know - I just called FA in a panic, should have checked with you all first - lol!
