I’m a sophomore in high school and currently on the student council as a class rep. I wasn’t on it as a freshman and I’m worried that I won’t make it on as a junior. At my school, competition is pretty tough, and it’s mostly a popularity contest. I made it on this year because I wrote an essay and got selected. I do plan on doing this again and maybe running as well but I don’t think I’ll get picked by my essay because they probably reserve that for new members, and I don’t think I have a chance against some of the other popular people in my class if I run. The next elections are in about six months so I have some time to mull this over. To finally get to the point, Assuming the worst(that being I don’t make it)I’m worried about how only one year of student council will look on my college apps. I know they want passion and consistency, for you to have consistent EC’s in all fours years or at least three. Will one year still look good or will it look like I didn’t try hard enough to stick with it? Thanks in advance 
Don’t worry about it…I assume you have some other ECs? If not, that is okay, just replace Student Council with another activity or two.
