@MYOS1634 based on our experience the high GPA thingy is not necessarily true. Why? Because my kid got in with his 3.7 UW, 4.05 UC GPA. Their situation looks very similar to my kid’s situation. I personally think the OP’s kid has a pretty good chance of getting into UCB, for L&S.
