Hey guys! I have a question about joining the student govt at USC, any prerequisites?

Also, do they mainly include leaders of frats/sororities

What can you tell me about Adcomm? I've heard they were a prestigious group of leaders?

I'm interested in the frat scene, but I know that I will be VERY busy at USC just because of the person that I am....I always get involved in many activiites, but in the end, Academics are a priority because I want to get into med school. I love a balance of socialness and academics, i feel that it's just as important to have fun as a great education......

So.....any info on student govt i can get? Also, if i concentrate on clubs etc and being a leader in that, would i have time for a frat, or vice versa?

Thanks a lot! I'm also thinking of being independent, either way, i know ill have a great time!

How much time do you have to dedicate to your frat? or estimates?
Also, I know there have been posts about the different frats and their characteristics/opinions from ppl about them....

I just want to know based on these personality traits where do i belong?

I'm asian, independent, strong goals, down-to-earth (really), fun-loving, and confident. Studying biochem and maybe doubling or minoring in something (so i might not have time for frats). I love being social, but I am dedicated to getting into a med school. I've participated in student govt, and i'm really out there with enthusiasm. I don't plan on drinking or doing drugs to have fun. I make my own fuN! Thanks a lot!

Depends on a lot of factors. Most likely, you won't do half the activities you plan to do once you come to college. It's a big change from high school, especially if you're an athlete.

Yes, student gov't is a lot of frat/sor leaders. You can't even think of getting elected to pres/vice pres without a greek on the ticket.

If you are planning on getting into med school, and being in a frat, and doing student senate...well, let's just say you better be an ace at time management.
