Student Housing?

I'm going to live in the housing for sure (as opposed to dorming, which is for freshmen only =[ sad panda), because that's the deal I made with my parents even though I live 40 minutes away =X

And for some reason I can't find out how much it costs. I found information on it like the types of housing and food plans and things of the sort, however, I can't find the prices. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Are you living on campus?
Like Arroyo Vista or Campus Village?
UC Irvine Student Housing - Housing Rates

Ohhh. Okay. Thanks sooo much. =] hugs

Tizzy, if you're a transfer student, as far as I know, first year transfers are guaranteed a spot in student housing, even dorms. Unless you're over 25 you can live in the dorms.

adriennevy: from my understanding from the housing website, transfer students can only live in CV or AV. Are there actually more options for transfers?

I guess you're right... I suppose I still see those as sort of like dorms since you have to share a room and have a teeny bed. I'm hoping to get into VDCN. If not, it's off campus housing for me. I'll be 24 when school starts and don't really want to share a room. =</p>

adriennevy - what's your major? I'm considering living in CV - I think it's worth the cheap pricing even if I have to share a room.

But first I have to decide between UCI and Berkeley!!! :)

What made you decide on UCI? Or was the your only application/acceptance?

...that's weird...i didn't even get the forms where i choose which house i want to live in...(Mesa) nor did i get the full packet/catalog for UC Irvine in general :( am i the only one or is everyone who got accepted in the same situation? im kind of freaking out lol

M1L17: I'm CONSIDERING living in CV, but I got pretty good financial aid so I'm not too worried about cheap dorms. I've been looking at rent around the Irvine area and I can get a private room for around $500/mo within 10 miles from campus. I missed out on the "college experience" a long time ago and I've accepted that, haha.

simplyjess: I couldn't tell you, I'm a transfer so I have only received the 2 page acceptance letter thing in the mail.
