If you are talking about property insurance, you will have to carefully read the terms of the policy. The study abroad program may have more details about insurance options that other students have chosen in connection with their programs.</p>

<p>You need to read your policy to see if it covers international costs. If it doesn’t, you can argue that you don’t have to buy the coverage offered by the school if you buy coverages that will work for the country you are going to, or it might be included in the tuition for that school (countries with socialized medicine probably include a cost automatically).</p>
