I just got accepted to Drexel and i was wondering how student life was there. I would assume it's pretty good because it's in Philly, but i would like to hear from someone else. Is there a lot of partying?

I went to the school across the street and knew some Drexel kids (they ultimately ended up living in our off-campus house one year).

From what I gathered, the student life is good, and getting better all the time as Drexel continues to grow on its path of development from what was once a commuter school to a full-blown residential university with a decent campus (and some ridiculously sweet new dorm action going on).

Philly of course is something we all had access to and that was an awesome city for college. Big enough to be full of cultural, social, entertainment, and economic opportunities, but not so big as to overwhelm campus life as NYC would.

^^ What he said. My comments on Drexel tend to be negative- and also quite dated. It has improved a LOT in recent years. Drexel students have access to a lot of Penn parties and all the Philly nightlife, besides their own parties. There are still a lot of commuters and with the coop program there will be kids coming and going from campus, but it is still lightyears better than it used to be.

thanks! all this was really very helpfull. anyone else?

Go to the “Colleges and Universities” section on the forum. There is a LOT of information there about Drexel.

thanks pageturner!
