Having gone to Yale in the late 70’s, I heard the same comments from Harvard students back then. My D hears the same from the students now. Harvard students generally go to Harvard cause of the name, Yale students because they love the school. And yes, while there may be some Yale students who initially were upset if they did not get into Harvard, that feeling usually goes away when they really see what both schools are like.
