scma - Yes, she finally got used to Georgetown - the main thing that bothered her was the rich vs. everyone else and the private vs. public school kids. She just needed to get used to the differences after being in public (magnet) schools her whole life. She thought she was aware of diversity but I guess that only included ethnic and religious and not social standing and economics. But that is water under the bridge and she has really done well and like I said before really likes it there.

I do remember her having to go to meetings with the advisors about her schedule after DH and I left campus. We did go to the bookstore with her and she did get some of her books but there were a few she couldn't get bc she wasn't sure which section she would be in and each prof had a different book requirement.
We tried ordering ahead of time with my other daughter who goes someplace else but that did not work out. She ended up having to take back half the books bc the profs had switched. One book she didn't even get bc they were backordered for half the semester. She had to borrow someone else's. So after that first semester she decided it would be easier just to wait and get the books after she had attended the first class. The gtown daughter also waits now to get her books after she attends the class.

I am very excited for these new acceptees. They will have a great time and I hope they take advantage of all that is offered.
