<p>Can these cover student expenses? When I go off to school I'm going to need a PC among other things, but would I get in trouble if I took out a bit extra for, I don't know, clothes or an Xbox or a Snickers bar or something? I don't plan on doing that, but I just want to be clear on what these loans may and may not be spent on.</p>
<p>Do private loans also typically allow the student to wait until s/he graduates before accumulating debt through interest or is that solely a government thing?</p>
