Student Organizations?

I'm about to finish my Freshman year at UT Austin and I have yet to find some really good organizations for me to join and socialize in. Any suggestions? I was not planning on rushing and I'm already in some volunteer organizations. Thanks so much!

I’m going to plug in Collaborative Artists. We’re a really fun group, and people do everything, from digital art, traditional art, crocheting, jewelry, to just hanging out. We’re planning to do a lot next year, any anybody is welcomed to drop by. There’s always new people coming and going.

It would be beneficial to include some of your interests in your post. Is socializing and making friends the only thing you are looking for in a club or just one thing that is important to you? I haven’t joined many organizations while at UT but I’ve joined math club, a science club, and a few minority organizations (I’m not even a minority). I found the minority organizations the most sociable and easiest to make friends in.
