Hello, everyone. I am a prospective Electrical Engineering student, and I'm wondering if anyone here happens to know what the general experience is of a Georgia Tech engineer.

I am applying to other engineering schools besides Tech, and I've already been accepted to one that's my number one choice, Rose-Hulman. Unfortunately, Rose is much more expensive than Tech will be, and I might be forced to attend Tech if I don't get enough financial aid.

The main thing that frightens me about Tech is the fact that a large portion of the students seem to be very unhappy with their experience there. I'm not sure whether I'm just hearing from a very vocal minority or whether this is actually the case. I hear about awful professors who can't speak English who teach impossible courses in which a 58 will be curved up to an A. Does anyone know whether this is actually the truth? Or are there some people who are quite happy about their experience at Tech? How well-prepared are Tech engineers when they go out into the world? It sounds like this poor quality of teaching might be detrimental to students' job performance.

Thanks a lot!
