<p>People in this thread seem to be a bit confused/misinformed. There are two women involved, Brittany Smith and Chanequa Campbell. This thread was initially about Chanequa: she was the first of the two to be kicked out of school, and she was the one who spoke to the press and said she was wrongly accused, etc. I’m not sure whether she ever received her degree, but she wasn’t indicted for anything at the time and still hasn’t been. She’s the one who had plans to go work in Italy after graduation.</p>
<p>Brittany Smith is the one who has been indicted for having assisted the killers. She was kicked out of school a few days after Chanequa, but thus far hasn’t said much (if anything) to the media, nor has she fled to Italy or anywhere else as far as I know. I think she’s out on bail, presumably waiting for the trial. </p>
<p>Just clearing that up for people who are interested.</p>
