Student Season Tickets

I saw a notice on the Michigan Ticket Office's Twitter page saying that season tickets for Basketball and Football go on sale March 21st. When do students (freshmen specifically) get the opportunity to purchase season tickets, and how does the seating process work. In other words, is it first come first serve, seniority, or other factors that help to ensure that you're getting the best seats? Im curious to how the entire process works.

During the summer, and you will get emails about it. To be honest it doesn’t matter what the numbers are on your ticket, as long as you have a ticket you can sit wherever you want in the student section with the exception of the first 3 or 4 rows.

Oh true, how does it work if you have friends who visit and want to go to the game?

For football you have to go in the section you are assigned but it’s really easy to move between sections once you’re in or just pass tickets back so you can sit with friends. Where your seat is is based off credits but it doesn’t actually matter, nobody follows it. I sat in the first 20 rows for every game this year. Basketball is first come first served general admission.
