Anyone know if there is an inexpensive travel pass for three months of unlimited (or reasonably limited) travel within France? My D will be a student there this fall. What I see online is very limited- x number of trips within a short time period. Is there a better option she could get once she is there? Thanks. Btw, she'll be living about 90 minutes outside Paris.

There are two options as far as I know.

EUrail pass - this is best value if taking lots of trips over a specific period of time. For a student studying during the week and only travelling at weekends it’s not such a good value.

[Eurail - Travel Europe by Train with your Eurail Pass](http://www.eurail.com/home)

SNCF 12-25 rail card - gives up to 60% off all train journeys within France, and 25% off in some neighbouring countries. The best value if travel is not planned and mostly at weekends. Lots of French students have these, and I had one when I was a student in England, for some trips.

Thanks, cupcake. For some reason, I hadn’t found that SCNF info in English. Much clearer now!
