Student with Rising GPA, average test scores but interesting ECs? What are my chances?

I just received my AP scores so I felt like now was as good a time as any to get chanced.

I had average grades during my frosh years but during my junior year I took 4 APs and had a 4.0 UW GPA.
I took APUSH (AP SCORE:5), AP Calc AB (3), AP Lang (3) and AP Bio (4). Next year I’ll be taking AP Art History, Calc BC, and Literature. They don’t allow freshmen and sophomores to take APs but during the first 2 years of high school I was in accelerated honors classes.

I am in the top 9% of my graduating class, with an UW GPA of 3.74 and W GPA of 3.97 (last time I checked idk what it is now)

I have a 1790 SAT and 28 ACT (planning to improve ACT) which isnt the best.

In terms of ECs I am the president of my school, head of prom committee, 4 year member of a drama club and a volunteer for an organization that fundraises money to improve African economic independence and another organization that is working to implement art in our local public transportation (MUNI and BART in SF).
I was a student speaker for the world-renowned design consultancy, IDEO during my freshman year.
I managed my school’s track and football teams in my freshman and sophomore year. (I took care of paperwork and set up games/meets)
I started a fundraiser for disadvantaged kids at my school who were not able to pay for their own AP examinations.
I am also apart of the Young Writer’s Club and am starting a Women’s Club at my school.
At the moment I am writing an article on teen public health and managing social media accounts while working at Chipotle.

I am planning on applying to UCLA,UCB,UCD, UCSD, UCI, USC, NYU, U Mich, Syracuse University.
I am 1st gen + low income, if that matters!

Thank you for reading, I feel super narcissistic for talking so much about myself.
Please let me know my chances and I’ll be glad to return the favor!

I think you have really solid chances at those schools if you bring your test scores up a bit. Right now I think the only reaches on your list are Berkeley and UCLA; however, if you bring up your ACT to around a 32 or 33 you’d have a solid chance at those too! Best of luck to you and if you have time please chance me back on my thread!

Intended major?

Right now your UWGPA and ACT/SAT scores are competitive for UCI/UCD. USC/UCSD/UCLA/UCB are Reaches unless you can get your SAT above 2000 and ACT above 30. NYU is notorious for poor financial aid so I would remove it from your list. I do not see any solid safeties on your list you might want to include UCR/UCSC or some of the Cal States such as SDSU/CSULB depending upon major.

You have good leadership and if you write some great essays, many of the Reach schools could be possible.

Hello, thank you for the response. I’m studying pretty vigorously to bring up the ACT and my intended major varies from school to school but is essentially public health!
