Students currently in HS and who avidly post stats of 3.8+ plz view

Okay, so i'm like looking through this forum, and it seems like students in hs keep posting 3.999 gpa, 1600 sat, applying to princeton, harvard, yale , brown, and cornell as my safety. They also have almost 10 different extinguished awards, etc. So like, how do you guys do it? Basically, do you just work like machines? Come home, do work until midnight, sleep, and then wake up to a fun-filled saturday of nobel research? I just want to get some feedback of how your lives are structured. I take school seriously also, and will be going to a school next year of decent reputation, and i truly want to be able to work with such dedication and attain success as you guys have. Arent you guys burned out? Please give me some feedback.

well...we know how to spell distinguished first of all.

anyways...the people who do well in high school are often the people who have "trained their brains" throughout their childhood and teenage years. also, they don't mind studying that much because they could be used to it.

this question really is hard to answer by someon else other than yourself. if u just think about it, maybe u should exercise more or something. have u put ur brain kthrough a lot a work before? u can figure it out if u just tinnk about it.

Time management. My stats pale in comparision to many even though I spend a lot of time studying. Problem is- it's very incongruous and I spend just as much time looking at Senate votes.

I don't do all those things sorry.

"well...we know how to spell distinguished first of all."

LOL! what a nice comment. aren't you a nice, funny, and thoughtful person.
heh j/k

to that burn out crap, that's me, my gpa is sorta weak, but my sat's make up for it...

my gpa is decent, but my rank is horrible. you know what are you going to do:)

as long as ur sat or some kind of standarized test is decent, u prollly should be alright, i mean, gpa and rank is quite subjective y'know?

:p i'm not worried. I used to freak out, but but now i'm like, i'm going somewhere, so stay calm self!:p

some colleges might view high sat low gpa as smart, but lazy student. but yeah, stuff like gpa and rank really depends on the school and the teachers...

well it's not really low like a 2.1/50%, we'll say it's above a 3.7 and leave it at that :) deuce. kicks standarized testing I'm going to beat the butt off of the act/sat/sat2's

in that case, lets do a poll

high sat low gpa: Ilovetocamp (smart but lazy)
High SAT, HIgh GPA: (smart and diligent)
Low SAT, High GPA: (could be lots of things, some punk taking easy classes or somethin like that, I HATE THESE PEOPLE!!!)

add ur name in, y'all

i only have the psat/practice sat tests to go off of, but:
high psat/likely sat/low gpa: smart but lazy

add ur name in the area, amigo/amiga...

why why why? i ask

cuz it's easier to keep track of,

meh i'm too lazy sorry boy voyage

Dear Sir,

I'd me much obliged to comply with your request if you would be so kind to provide me with the following information:

Love,

deus.ex.machina

based on how you feel about your gpa/sat, not on numbers persay i say

OKAY!

you guys obviously didnt catch my drift
Basically i'm not asking for advice, i have decent gpas, i feel like my sats are also good, i just want to understand the question stated above, and get it from the people who are currently achieving the grades and posting such remarks.
i really dont want advice in getting to college, or a poll to take place, i just want the input of those who are like four o students and many activities, i guess the first reply pretty much answered all there is to answer on the question.
By the way: Thanks for the correction, i wont make that mistake again for certain :)

lawl... ok

well, this is kinda hard b ut i'll try my best

definition of "high SAT score" (1400+)
definition of "low SAT score" (Under 1200)
definition of "high GPA" (Around 4?)
definition of "low GPA" (Under 3.5)

tell me if those fit decently?
