<p>Just to follow up on MYOS1634: women’s colleges may actually be a good “back-up” option to have on your list if you need financial aid. I applied to around 10 colleges, 3 of them women’s colleges. I was admitted with financial aid to 2 of the 3 women’s colleges but none of the co-ed ones. </p>
<p>Women’s colleges may also give you access to many more resources than co-ed liberal arts colleges because the better women’s colleges are part of larger consortia. For example, when I attended Bryn Mawr, I spent most of my junior and senior years at the University of Pennsylvania.</p>
<p>I understand that you’d rather attend a co-ed institution, but if you are not completely averse to attending a women’s college, it might be worthwhile to add a few of them to your college list.</p>
