Is it common for students to go to Disneyland? I thought Disneyland was for younger kids.

People of all ages enjoy Disneyland...probably because it reminds us of our childhood. The last time I went there was in 2005, the first semester of my freshman year at SC. But I hear of people going all the time. I, personally, wouldn't go more than once a year. I would prefer to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain because I like rollercoasters with loops and such :)

Not always for younger kids. They have to be tall enough to ride some of these rides. My daughter goes there 10 times a year because last year she was so busy.

I went to Disney World on my honeymoon.

I got Disney passes with my friends freshman year. Disneyland doesn't get old or tired, and the passes cover two parks. It was always a great way for stress relief, and motivation for us to get work done. We would go on Sundays, so we would work to finish homework before. Lots of fun!

It's somewhat common. Disneyland might be for younger kids, but it's also for Trojans who are still young at heart. :)

But yeah, Disney passes would be more of a reason to go.

Disneyland is NOT for kids only. Tons of students from my son's high school have passes to DLand. It's so popular with the locals, lot's of places to eat at Downtown Disney etc.

Enjoy and have fun! It's the happiest place on earth

What's the best way to get from USC to Disneyland without a car? Public Transit, shuttles?

Definitely. My daughter has been there with other USC students, as well as with our family (we have annual passes). As others here have said, Disneyland is for all ages!

In fact, for the Quick Response on her USC application, her answer for "Most Valuable Possession" was "Disneyland Annual Passport." :) :)

Just to balance this thread a little- S1 and S2 (Southern California natives) never went to Disneyland while attending USC. Though I could go there every day, my boys said they have been there enough. They do, however, go to Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park every year around Halloween (Knotts Scary Farm).
