I saw someone say that some people hold elected office while being students at Cornell, but I can't find anything on Google about it. Is the age limit 18 and not 25+?

well the age limit is definitely not 25 given that the current mayor of Ithaca (Svante Myrick) took office at age 24. he was also an alderperson while he was at Cornell.

here’s the first student on the Ithaca Common Council about a decade ago: [West Campus, Collegetown Rep. Resigns | The Cornell Daily Sun](http://www.cornellsun.com/node/3472)
and since then there is a pretty good history of students holding the collegetown seat. there isn’t one currently but I’m sure it could happen again.
